I have joined the A to Z April Blog Challenge. The challenge is to choose a theme and then post a blog on that theme every day, except Sunday, during April. Each blog is to be linked to a letter from the alphabet, so the blog on April 1 will be linked to a word beginning with ‘A’ and the blog on April 30 will be linked to the letter ‘Z’. The reason for this early blog is to reveal to hundreds of other participants what the theme of my 26 blogs will be, within the category LI (lifestyle).

My theme, and aim, is to show that you can achieve some things that seem impossible.

Although every democratic society and all the major religions claim to believe ‘all people are equal’, very few of us see societies and religions as living up to that principle. It seems that very few people believe it’s possible for human relationships to be equal. However, from a cosmic point of view, people have always been equal at birth and at death. It’s what goes wrong in the bit in-between that my blogs will look at; after we say hello to life and before we say goodbye. During that time, nearly all human unhappiness and suffering is caused by inequality of some kind. The good news is that we have some control over what happens in the bit we call ‘life’.

Each of my blogs will, therefore, be consistent with living as equals or moving towards equality in human relationships, while sometimes showing what is working against us.

Even a small movement towards equality can improve relationships at home, at work or in the community, because equality is the balance point between our need to belong and our need for individuality. It’s at this point that we can find the answer to the question, ‘Who am I’.

Bob Myers, author of Travelling the Road of Peace and Happiness.

Interesting theme! I'm curious to see how you fit all the letters of the alphabet in there :)
